Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How much does it cost to do a song?

A: Every project is different depending on the need and expectation of the artist/s involved. Please take the time to read our detailed info on our website and then feel free to contact us for specific quotes.

Q: How long does it take to be a singer? Do I need lessons?

A: This question gets asked so many times not just of us, but of many music teachers all over the world. The fact is vocal chords are just like any other parts of the body- The more you exercise and condition them the better you will become as a singer. Imagine a hockey player asking his/her coach if he/she needs to practice, exercise and train to become a professional team player!

Q: I am a rapper. Do I need voice lessons?

A: Rhythm is an integral part of rapping. Our vocal lessons including rhythmic training so if you are a good rapper and would like to improve your rhythmic skills it can only improve your talent. Also, there are some very successful rappers who sing as well.

Q: Do you do "beats"?

A: "Beats" is a slang word for "composing music" - usually used by R&B and Hip-Hop artists. We compose music and vocals for many styles of music. So the answer is "yes". Please listen to our Musical Examples in the Archives page.

Q: Do you teach Vanessa Carleton or Aerosmith or Justin Timberlake?

A: A good teacher teaches a singer how to sing various styles of music regardless of what type of music the teacher actually sings him- or her- self. It is unrealistic however, to expect a voice teacher to be an expert in all kinds of music in the world. That would take more than one lifetime. The bottom line is a good teacher of music should be able to teach the musician [singer in this case] the basics of singing technique, dynamics, expression and vocal range so that the singer can become better at singing virtually any type of music he/she wishes to.
